Web Development
I honed my web development skills by taking on a variety of small-scale projects that each presented unique challenges and learning opportunities. I began by creating online portfolios for students, which taught me the importance of clean, responsive design and how to best showcase creative work in a digital format. This experience culminated in the significant undertaking of developing a website for a government entity. This project demanded a high level of precision, security, and accessibility, pushing my capabilities and solidifying my understanding of front-end and back-end development principles.
However, my career path took a pivotal turn when I embraced a new role as a trainer for the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). While this position was incredibly fulfilling, allowing me to share my knowledge and empower others, it led to a long hiatus from the hands-on practice of web development. The fast-evolving nature of web technologies meant that my skills became dormant during this period.
Now, I am reigniting that long-lost endeavor. Emerging from this hiatus, I am filled with a renewed passion and determination to immerse myself back into the web development community. I am enthusiastically embracing new technologies and methodologies, confident that my foundational experience and unique perspective as a designer will allow me to not only catch up but to once again compete and thrive in this ever-changing digital landscape.
Front-End
A front-end developer acts as the bridge between design and technology, translating UI/UX design mockups into clean, efficient, and responsive code. In the modern web landscape, this often involves using advanced frameworks and libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js to build more complex and dynamic user interfaces. Ultimately, front-end development is about creating a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
